The AdvancedFrame kayak is a delight to paddle and very comfortable – even a beginner can cruise along for hours.
It’s fast and comfortable enough for a multi-day trip, but quick and easy to set up for a casual paddle.
It cuts through chop easily on the open ocean, but also glides beautifully on a lake or calm river.
Everything promised, this kayak delivered in spades. Efficient - easy to paddle for long periods of time, cuts through calm and choppy water with ease. Sturdy - surprised how strong the materials are and how well it has been put together. Stable - the inflated cells sitting with side of my thighs make this kayak the most stable i have ever paddled (sure it's wider and I lose straight line speed - but Im not going out in it for racing) Comfortable - I'm sitting on an inflatable floor between inflatable bouyancy chambers, all flouting on water - think abut it, nothing could be more comfortable. The seat back with infinite support adjustment gives me so many seating options. Not having to lift a kayak up onto rook racks any more (with sore and worn our shoulders) has allowed me to easily get onto the water again. I can't fault my purchase in any way.
As an older, not so strong female the kayak is a bit heavier and more awkward to carry than I expected but easy to pump up with foot pump. On the water it is easy to paddle and very stable and comfortable. It tracks straight and turns easily. I like to re-inflate it in the garden to clean and dry but it folds up well. I am delighted with this kayak and am looking forward to many adventures.
Overall experience - terrific! Easy to inflate and took <10 minutes on our second attempt, a bit longer on the first as we were reading the instruction manual. The Kayak travelled true even in fairly strong wind and simple to deflate. We throw them in the back of the car and wash them down when we get home (all our adventures have been in salt water). We dry them in our courtyard semi inflated and have had no reason to pack them back in the bag.
10 mins to set up, 10 minutes to get back into the car. Kayak is very stable, under normal condition on flat water you get no water inside. Use it now 3x week.
love the Advanced frame Kayak. easy to assemble, not too heavy for me to be able to transport it about. paddles really well even in choppy water... but.. two minor things the makers could remedy. 1. the velcro to hold the paddle is too close to the paddlers arm at the stern of the kayak.. the velcro scratches my arm whilst paddling. it could easily be relocated further to the stern of the boat, away from the movement of the paddling arm. 2. when i paddle, the water flicks off the paddle onto the bow of the boat (plus any wavelets that come over the edge).. this water then flows to the lowest point which is the zip end closest to the paddler. there it falls onto the floor of the kayak and inevitably the floor is very wet along with the paddlers legs and bum. the cover over the bow end of the boat needs some support to hold the zip higher thus preventing the water flowing into the vessel. these changes would make the kayak perfect!! thanks sally
Basically, it ticks a whole lot of boxes for a whole lot of people.
It’s great for beginners, AND for multi-day expeditions across open ocean.
That’s the amazing thing about this inflatable kayak, it’s good for both beginners and experienced kayakers.
Or take it out for a short, relaxing paddle.
There’s nothing more annoying than a kayak that goes in circles… except maybe a kayak that doesn’t go anywhere!
I was also very pleased with the kayaks tracking ability…
There’s nothing worse than a hard seat giving you a numb bum and an aching lower back from lack of support.
Whether you are jumping in the AdvancedFrame kayak for half an hour, or going out on a multi-day expedition, you want to be comfortable and supported. Fortunately, Advanced Elements have done a wonderful job of making the AdvancedFrame kayak a delight to sit in!
Have taken my kayak out 3 times in the last 2 weekends now… it’s quite addictive…
I could stay out ALL day if the weather permitted
Let’s be clear – the AdvancedFrame kayak is NOT a pool toy!
Advanced Elements have crafted a puncture-resistant inflatable kayak that won’t let you down.
I have been paddling the AdvancedFrame range for over a decade now, and I have never had to do a repair.
Set up and pack away seems to be the thing most people don’t consider when they are comparing inflatable kayaks.
But it is SO important!
If your inflatable kayak is a drag to inflate, you will end up just leaving it in the bag. What a waste…
The AdvancedFrame kayak comes pre-assembled from the Advanced Elements factory. This means there is no complicated set up, you just unfold, inflate, clip the seat in and go. Takes about 5 minutes from bag to water.
Packs up into a bag about the size of a suitcase for easy storage and transport – planes, trains and automobiles, the world is your oyster!
