If you aren’t sure what kind of kayak you want, the AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak is so versatile, it will suit for almost anything!
Take the Convertible Kayak with you in your caravan, on your boat, on holiday or on your camping trip, or just leave it in the closet for when a glorious paddling day dawns.
The most common scenario is a couple with a caravan, but I also sell the AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak to:
Glide straight with the patented AdvancedFrame design – no waggling when you paddle.
The Built in fin is another feature to help you paddle straight.
Unlike most tandem kayaks, the AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak has plenty of leg room for BOTH paddlers, which means less arguments!
Most kayaks over 4m are classed as 3-seaters, but Advanced Elements have kept this one as a spacious tandem kayak.
The solo seating position means you are perfectly balanced in the kayak – no drag and no wag.
Changing between tandem and solo is simply a matter of where you clip the seats in – super easy!
At 4.54m, the AdvancedFrame Convertible is one of the longest, and therefore fastest inflatable kayaks on the market.
It also has a capacity of 249kg, so you can really load it up with gear.
This is our best-selling Advanced Elements Kayak!
With the high back seat supporting your back and the soft inflatable floor under your bum, you can paddle for hours.
The AdvancedFrame Convertible kayak has a low centre of gravity and a flat hull for effortless stability. This saves your strength and allows you to relax and enjoy the ride.
Advanced Elements have designed the AdvancedFrame Convertible kayak to be durable and safe.
With multiple air chambers, multiple layers covering the main chambers and the extra-tough PVC tarpaulin on the hull, you don’t really have to worry about punctures.
Comes pre-assembled so there is no complicated set up – just inflate and paddle!
Packs up into a bag about the size of a suitcase. Super easy for travel and storage!

The website is great and Emily’s customer service is outstanding. Emily uses online capabilities to bring a very customer centred focus that is specific to you, including after the purchase. If you aren’t sure what to buy I recommend getting in touch with Emily through the website. Emily clearly uses the product and knows it well. I purchased the family pack and have used everything except the cart - I can get close enough to the shore and can carry the kayak but good to have the cart for when a need arises. The kayak is easy to pump up and I got on the water faster than someone with a tinnie. Easy to wipe down and pack up. Hard shell kayaks around me on the water but I don’t think they can kick back and put their feet up if they want to in the same way you can in the inflatable. Very comfy for paddling and kicking back to enjoy the surrounds.
Emily was fantastic in helping to choose our kayak. We are a travelling couple, so needed it sent to a post office in remote WA, all arrived well packed and safe. First pump up was easy after reading the clear instructions. My partner and I are no lightweights, but the kayak handled well but we had some trouble with tracking until we sorted out the correct weight distribution with Emily’s email advice ( hint: best if heavier person is in the back!). It also works beautifully in the single paddler configuration. Deflation and pack up was easier than expected too... got it back in the bag first go! My only negative comment would be that the pump up thwart doesn’t really stay velcroed in place properly and that the double action hand pump quality could be better, the hose and fittings feel a bit flimsy. Overall we are extremely happy with our purchase 😊
I’ve wanted a kayak for years but could never justify a new car or the hassle of roof racks that I would need to transport a regular hard shell kayak. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t discover this earlier. I’ve been super happy with with my advanced elements convertible and it’s certainly a massive improvement over the plastic rentals I’ve used in the past. It can be set up in about 15 minutes, a little bit of care is required to ensure all the parts are aligned as you inflate but it’s quite easy. In the three months that we’ve undertaken remote day trips on lakes in the high country, paddled on alpine streams and taken it out into Port Philip bay. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how it handles, it's faster and tracks better than plastic rentals. Also it’s tough – we’ve hit submerged trees on a lake with minor cosmetic marks to the hull the only impact. It also requires very little water to float which makes it great in alpine streams or at the beach. It’s become my go to recreation this summer, so much so that my bike is starting to feel a bit neglected. I thoroughly recommend.
We took the Kayak on a road trip and found a lovely lake to try it out for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and quickly I inflated it and we were on the water within minutes of unpacking it. The kayak is made of a high quality and durable material and the whole thing felt premium and sturdy once inflated. My wife and children also used it and had a great time. Deflating was also straight-forward and we were off the water and in the car again very quickly. I would also commend the service Emily and team provided; very responsive and extremely knowledgeable about all of their products, I wouldn't hesitate to but from them again.
The convertible kayak is easy to set up and provides a stable and comfortable ride, even in choppy, windy conditions. The electric pump suggested by Emily saves time and effort as you can prepare paddles, fit seats while the kayak is inflating. If you are regularly paddling in rough conditions, would recommend adding the deep stitch floor for added stiffness and control. Packing down is quick, however once back at home allow extra time to rinse (5mins) and dry (depends on weather) kayak after use. Emily was very prompt with responses. There was a slight delay (2 days) with delivery, due to incorrect address, however a call to delivery company got things back on track. Overall, enjoying kayaking with the family to explore Jervis Bay.
At Oz Inflatable Kayaks, we import the Advanced Elements range into Australia, which means nobody can sell it cheaper than we can!
If you see a great deal on an Advanced Elements kayak or SUP we are happy to match that price, and DELIGHTED to offer you a package deal on accessories as well.
Simply give us a call on 1800 996 495 or send an email with evidence of the better price to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can do a deal for you.
It’s a big purchase when you don’t really know what you are getting, isn’t it?
To make this a no-brainer for you, I want you to try out the kayak or SUP, on the water.
That’s right – I want you to actually take it for a paddle.
If you don’t like it, you can send it back for a FULL REFUND.
Most retailers will let you return a product, but it has to be in new condition – what’s the point of that? You need to be able to paddle the thing before you really know if it is right for you!
So order the kayak or SUP, take it out for a paddle and then decide if you want to keep it. You’ve got a full 30 days from delivery to make that decision, so plenty of time to do a test paddle.
Yes, that’s right, you get free shipping on this product, no matter where you live in Australia.
We use a range of couriers for shipping including Star Track Express, Couriers Please or Fastway.
They often want a signature on delivery, so have a think about whether someone will be at home (and you know Murphy’s law – if you pop out for 5 minutes, that’s when they will come!).
If it’s safe, the best option is to give Authority to Leave (ATL), which means the courier can leave it at your front door (or wherever you specify).
Advanced Elements are pretty serious about quality.
They offer a 12 month warranty on all their products, and I can tell you with confidence that they are great about it. Although I don’t get many warranty claims, I have never had any issues getting help, parts or replacements from Advanced Elements.
