John and Tania wanted to go kayaking on the Brisbane River with their dog, Ellie (a springer spaniel).
They had just moved into a unit at Hamilton with a nice beach. Perfect! Well, almost ….
What’s the problem with units?
They had an allocated car space in the shared garage, but they needed that for their car. Plus, they didn’t want to leave a kayak down there in case of theft.
And it’s not like you can get a tiny kayak if you want to go kayaking with a dog…
John was googling kayaking with a dog and came across my article about dog friendly kayaks.
Seeing as I do a 30 day trial period on all my kayaks, John said it was an easy decision.
“It only took me half an hour from starting my research on google, to buying the Dog Lovers Kayak Package“
John, Tania and Ellie were kayaking on the Brisbane River near Nudgee just a few weeks later.
Kayaking on the Brisbane River – the Details
John and Tania have been kayaking on the Brisbane River in a few places, but these pics were from Nudgee Beach.
Nudgee Beach is north west of Brisbane CBD, and is where the Brisbane River flows into Moreton Bay.
They launched from the Nudgee boat ramp and took the outgoing tide downstream to the sandbars of Nudgee Beach.
John and Tania are experts at Ubering back to their starting point so they don’t have to paddle against the current and the tide.
Ellie (their dog) absolutely loves it!
The Dog Lovers Kayak Package is ideal for a couple with space constraints who want to go kayaking with a dog because it is:
- stable on the water – dogs don’t always stay perfectly still, lol
- contained with high walls, but still has a nice, open cockpit so they can see out
- spacious – although it is a tandem, you can fit two adults and a dog
- durable – can handle claws
- easy to paddle – goes straight and fast
BUT, it might not be the right kayak for you.
It’s a lot of money down the drain if you get the wrong model, so it’s worth asking for my advice!Click HERE to get your FREE personalised kayak recommendation
About Oz Inflatable Kayaks
Hi, my name is Emily and over a decade ago I thought to myself “gee, I would really love to go kayaking … if only I had a big strong butler to help me get a kayak on and off roof racks. Oh, and several thousand dollars for the kayak and the roof racks (not to mention the cost of the butler)”.
To find a way to go paddling without a heavy hard-shell kayak, I started looking into inflatable kayaks. But I did NOT want a pool toy.
The Advanced Elements range of inflatable kayaks really blew me away (excuse the terrible pun).
I realised that the quality was not just about durability, it also meant that the kayaks were comfortable and easy to paddle straight and fast.
It just so happens that I was also looking for a business opportunity at the same time…
Nowadays I specialise (and delight) in selling Advanced Elements inflatables to all kinds of people in Australia.
I know the range so well that I do personalised recommendation videos to help people choose the right kayak.
It’s a no-obligation service that I enjoy doing AND it helps me in the long run because my customers that get a recommendation get the right kayak, first time. They are HAPPY customers!Click HERE to get your FREE personalised kayak recommendation
